Anne-Maree
Anne-Maree Goldsmith - Senior Teacher, Director
Yoga was introduced into my life after a severe car accident. I went to a class with my cousins and fell in love with Yoga. I have now been practising yoga since 1996 and teaching yoga to others since late 90's.
In 2001 I completed my first Teachers training in Hatha Yoga with my first teacher Marion Vaughan. She inspired me to Yoga and started my journey and inquiry into Yoga. In 2006 I completed my second Yoga Teachers Training at Bhava Yoga and Dance Centre. Hatha based, but incorporating creativity and dance to Yoga. Lyn Colenso showed me the creative energy and spirit I wanted to add to my classes. In 2002 I returned to study to expand my knowledge further and completed a course in Aromatherapy.
With a background in Nursing I have found my range of knowledge has brought a diverse understanding to my classes.

The Name Ulysses
“Ulysses” the name was inspired by the large tropical blue / black butterflies in far North Queensland. My husband and I were travelling and loved the radiance of this creature and in later years the butterfly image has now inspired my logo.
The Circle: represents the continuum of life and nature and the importance of the union of mind, body and spirit.
The Open Hands: means welcoming and nurturing. This embraces the philosophy of the studio. When you come for a yoga class or an aromatherapy consultation you feel welcomed and nurtured and able to relax and heal.
The Butterfly: is a symbol of transformation. Through practises of yoga we can transform to find our true self by the union of the body, mind, and spirit
The Seedling: Is the representation of New Life.
The seedling grows to be strong. It also represents the cycles in our life. A tree symbolises life and often spoken in yoga as strength and stamina, which we receive from the postures, balance and grounding we obtain emotionally and like a tree rising towards the sunlight in the sky it’s the development of our spirit.
The colour green was chosen because its often seen to symbolise Life. The Life we hope to live.

Sharon's Profile and Pic : Sharon Blow - Hatha Yoga Teacher
I found Yoga in the early 90's. At this time, in my life I was working in an area that was causing me at times,
to be stressed
and anxious.
After attending regular classes and allowing myself to be open to a new experience in my life, my mind,
my body became quiet and still. I became a calmer more focused and organised person in my daily life.
The joy for me as a Yoga Teacher is to help clients to achieve their full potiential as calm, organised individuals through their regular practise of Yoga.
